Community Input Needed on Cable Television Residential Surveys

Comcast is seeking renewal of its current 15-year cable television franchise, which expires in 2017. Charles County Government is seeking input from residents, businesses, nonprofits, and educators in order to assess the “cable television related needs and interests” of the community.

Charles County Government has begun its residential needs assessment by mailing cable television residential surveys to 4,000 randomly generated Charles County addresses.  Should you receive one of these surveys, we encourage you to complete it even if you are not a current Comcast Cable subscriber.  Understanding your needs and interests, as they relate to cable television services, is important in order for the County to best represent residents during this negotiation period with Comcast.

Periodic updates on the needs assessment process will be available at www.CharlesCountyMD.gov, www.Facebook.com/CharlesCounty, and ww.Twitter.com/CharlesCoMD.
