
WALDORF, Md. — Emergency crews responded to a crash Monday afternoon, March 9, 2026, at the intersection of Crain Highway and Billingsley Road that left three people injured, including a toddler.
The incident was reported at approximately 12:54 p.m., prompting fire and EMS units to respond to the Waldorf intersection for reports of multiple patients following a vehicle collision.
Emergency personnel evaluated three individuals at the scene, including a 69-year-old woman experiencing lower abdominal and back pain, a 21-year-old woman with back pain, and a 2-year-old boy who was checked for possible injuries.
The 69-year-old woman was transported by ambulance to UM Charles Regional Medical Center for further evaluation. The other two patients were assessed by medical personnel at the scene.
The second woman declined further medical treatment and signed a care refusal at the scene.
Police are investigating the incident.
The crash occurred about an hour after a separate multi-vehicle collision along Crain Highway near Gillespie Circle that left multiple people trapped in a vehicle that overturned and required firefighters to conduct an extrication.
