Leonardtown, MD-ย Police in St. Maryโ€™s County reported that emergency responders were dispatched to two vehicle crashes involving motorcycles during the last weekend in May.

On May 30 at 9:16 p.m., St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office deputies responded to Leahy Drive in Piney Point for a late report of a vehicle crash. The operator of a motorcycle, identified as James S. Jordan, 33 of Piney Point, reported he was operating a 2000 Buell Motorcycle southbound on Route 249 when he swerved to miss a deer in the roadway. He lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. Once at home, Jordan reported the crash. Emergency Medical Services responded. Jordan was flown to Prince George’s Shock Trauma for precautionary measures.

On May 31 at 12:26 a.m., deputies responded to Three Notch Road and Clarkes Landing Road, for a crash involving a motorcycle. The operator, identified as Jerry A. Mister, 44, was southbound on his 1990 Honda Goldwing with a passenger identified as Tina M. Kuehl, 57. The operator attempted to change lanes and lost control of the motorcycle because of the uneven pavement. Mister was flown to Prince George’s Shock Trauma for precautionary measures. Kuehl was not injured.
