The College of Southern Marylandโ€™s Theatre Company presents its cast for the dinner and dessert productions of โ€œRed Herring,โ€ a play by Michael Hollinger.

The story follows three love stories, a murder mystery and a nuclear espionage plot in this noir comedy about marriage and other explosive devices. Itโ€™s 1952 and America is on the verge of the H-bomb, Dwight Einsenhowerโ€™s on the campaign trail and โ€œI Love Lucyโ€ is on Monday nights. Meanwhile, Senator Joe McCarthyโ€™s daughter just got engaged to a Soviet spy, and Boston detective Maggie Pelletier has to find out who dumped the dead guy in the Harbor, or she will lose out on a honeymoon in Havana. โ€œRed Herringโ€ is a blunt-nosed, sharp-eyed look at love and tying (and untying, and retying) the knot.

CSMโ€™s cast includes Jamie Burroughs as Lynn McCarthy, Michael Coleman as Senator Joe McCarthy, Priest, Herbert and Woody, both of Mechanicsville; Kendall Garton of Hollywood as Maggie Pelletier, Taylor Scott Hines of White Plains as James Appel; Jhonni Jones of Welcome as Mrs. McCarthy; Alex LaClair of La Plata as Major Hartwell, Harry and Bartender; Mitchell Landon of Great Mills as Frank Keller; Danielle LeDoux of Indian Head as Mrs. Kravitz; Alexis Miller of Crofton as Clerk; Jessica Ramsay of Upper Marlboro as Mrs. Van Nostrand; Kenneth L. Waters of Waldorf as Petey, Chairman and Dr. Kasden; Charles Watley of Charlotte Hall as Andrei Borchevsky.
