The Charles County Department of Community Services recently received a $250 donation from the Southern Maryland Ski Club to benefit the Special Olympics Charles County Ski Program. Ms. Sally Bahen, Ski Club member, presented the check to Ms. Eileen Minnick, Chief of Recreation for the Department of Community Services.
The Southern Maryland Ski club is an active, year-round nonprofit organization that promotes outdoor sports. The club is supportive of Special Olympics local program and holds annual fund raising activities to assist the Special Olympics program and its athletes.
