On Dec. 17, Senior Deputy First Class Kevin Somerville was dispatched to the area of Jarrell Drive at Golden Beach Road in Mechanicsville, for a suspicious vehicle (truck parked partially in the roadway displaying cardboard tags).
Sdfc. Somerville contacted the driver of the truck, Brian Patrick Jett, 28 of no fixed address. Sdfc. Somerville could detect an odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted which revealed a glass/marble smoking pipe containing suspected marijuana.
Jett was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
