On Feb. 2, shortly before 4:30 p.m., rescue crews responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries along Route 235 at Loveville Road in Mechanicsville.
According to deputies on the scene, a red vehicle had come to a complete stop in the roadway on Route 235, when the driver of a US Mail Truck slammed into the rear of the red sedan, causing the mail truck to roll over.
Authorities on the scene, DFC. Angela Muller and TFC Trosbach helped to extricate the female driver of the US Mail truck that was on its side. The woman sustained serious head and facial injuries requiring medical attention. She was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, her condition is unknown at this time.
No word if any charges have been made.
The accident remains under investigation.
