Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley continues his pursuit of the office of Barack Obama, Jr. (according to some sources!). O’Malley has chased an estimated 6,500 small businesses out of Maryland because O’Malley and Team have continued to raise taxes. MDGOP Chair Diana Waterman commented last week regarding legislation to raise the gas tax and to increase spending, saying that since O’Malley’s election, Maryland’s unemployment rate has doubled, taxes have risen over $1,500 per family and state spending is up over 8 billion dollars.
