In Wesley Prudenโ€™sย โ€œPruden on Politicsโ€ย column for โ€œTheย Washington Timesโ€ย datedย Tuesday, July 2ย titledย โ€œNo Gallantry for Hillary,โ€ he discusses possible future options for Mrs. Clinton, including her anticipated 2014 run for the presidency. He brings up a very interesting point towards the end of his article โ€“ one that raised many issues (and eyebrows) during the 2010 Presidential election, but seems almost forgotten now. Remember the 2008 TV commercial from her campaign suggesting that Barack Obama โ€œwouldnโ€™t know what to do if the red telephone rang at the White House at 3 oโ€™clockย in the morningโ€?ย  Well, Mr. Pruden goes on to point out what we all knowโ€ฆthe telephone did indeed ring atย 3 a.m.ย at the State Department with news from Benghazi that our ambassador and other Americans were under attack. And not only are we asking: where was President Obama?, we are also asking: where was Hilary??????? And her defense was the huffy and inappropriate, โ€œWhat difference does it make?โ€ Well, she thought it made a difference when the shoe was hypothetically on the other foot during her run for the Presidency. And it should matter now. Mr. Pruden recommends that Hilary give up her dream of becoming President and to instead become the president of Wellesley (Mr. Pruden is editor emeritus ofย The Washington Times).
