Faith Christian Stores Of Waldorf Has New Owners With A Spiritual Mission

WALDORF, Md. — Faith Christian Stores in St. Charles Towne Center has new owners, and a renewed sense of purpose for its spot in Waldorf’s popular mall.

King and Erica Hairston took over ownership of the store in May and have been working to introduce themselves and their vision for the store to the local community in Waldorf and Charles County. The Hairstons took over the store in May 2025 through their company, Elite Holdings. The husband-and-wife team is a veteran family who said they felt a “calling” to keep the store open.

“We felt a clear pull to preserve something important for our community,” the Hairstons wrote in an email to The BayNet. “This store has always been more than a retail space, it’s been a place where people could come in searching for hope, encouragement, and something to strengthen their walk with God.”

The Hairstons, a self-described “Christian husband-and-wife team,” said they didn’t see this store as a business opportunity, but rather, an assignment to serve the community. They wanted to make sure people would still have a place to find Bibles, devotionals and gifts of faith. And more importantly, they aimed to create an atmosphere where people could connect with God right where they are.

The vision? To make Faith Christian Stores a place of peace, somewhere people can breathe, talk and even pray.

Along with that vision, there’s a refreshed concept of what the store can offer. With what they describe as a “strong Kingdom focus,” the Hairstons are expanding what the store offers. They plan to add more personalized gifts, more modern Christian resources, more community-centered products and a warmer, more intentional experience when people walk through the doors. They’re also developing partnerships with local authors, churches and creatives so the store reflects the “voices and hearts” of the region.

The Hairstons shared their hope of creating community gatherings, workshops, children’s biblical education moments and ongoing encouragement to anyone who visits the store.

“We’re not just selling products, we’re serving people,” they wrote. “Our prayer is that this store becomes a light in Waldorf, a place where hope lives and faith grows. Our heart is to create a true spiritual refuge in the middle of the mall, a place where people feel seen, loved and uplifted. We want Faith Christian Stores to remind people that God is still moving, still speaking and still caring about their everyday lives.”

Faith Christian Stores is located in St. Charles Towne Center at 11110 Mall Circle, Suite N03, Waldorf, on the upstairs level by Dick’s Sporting Goods. The store is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
