On Sunday, May 19, a fundraiser was held at American Legion Post #274 to help local resident Brad Koslofsky pay some of his medical expenses as he continues to battle cancer. His mother, Cathy Thorsen, sent The Bay Net the following letter dated May 24.

                                                                   

We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who attended, and contributed to the May 19 fundraiser for Brad Koslofsky. It was VERY overwhelming to see the number of people in attendance and their sincere wishes for a speedy recovery and willingness to give of both themselves and monetary donations.  Enough donations were received to pay existing medical bills and to cover the insurance co-pays for surgery and remaining chemo treatments.  Special thanks go out to the following sponsors, donors and friends without whom we could not have done the fundraiser:
