FORT WASHINGTON, Md. – The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Fort Washington on Friday evening. The deceased driver is 42-year-old Sirlena Moore of Capitol Heights.
On June 20, 2025, at approximately 6:15 pm, officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles in the 8400 block of Allentown Road. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle and the driver of the second vehicle were taken to a hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
The preliminary investigation indicates Moore was traveling southbound on Allentown Road when, for reasons currently under investigation, her vehicle crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
