WALDORF, Md. – On the evening of December 3, 2024, firefighters responded to a working fire at a two-story townhouse on the 2700 block of Red Lion Place. The 911 call was received at approximately 6:00 p.m., with the caller reporting smoke near the washer and dryer.

Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the first floor of the residence. Firefighters located the source of the fire in the dryer and worked to extinguish it while ensuring the flames had not spread to other parts of the home. A thorough primary search of the property was conducted, and no one was found inside.

The American Red Cross has been contacted to assist the displaced residents.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
