Firefighters Respond To Early Morning House Fire in Waldorf

WALDORF, Md. — Early morning on May 17, 2024, fire and emergency crews responded to a reported house fire on the 3100 block of Heartleaf Lane in Waldorf.

Upon arrival at approximately 2:35 a.m., crews found a single-family residence with visible fire erupting from the roof.

A mayday was declared during operations, but it was quickly cleared, allowing units to resume their operations inside the residence. Of note; from the outside of the structure, first glance would indicate a two-story residence. But in reality, it was one-story. The upper portion was a false second story.
