GREAT MILLS, Md. — A spectacular fireworks display will dazzle the night sky this Saturday, Dec. 7, as part of Bubby’s Christmas Farewell, a holiday celebration at Flat Iron Farm. The fireworks, starting at 8:40 p.m., promise to be a breathtaking highlight of the season, visible from anywhere on the farm, including the parking lot.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to secure their favorite viewing spots. To ensure the safety of the farm’s animals, pony rides will close at 8 p.m. The display, brought to life by Tim Jameson and Innovative Pyrotechnic Concepts, adds a magical touch to the ongoing festivities.
This year’s event honors the legacy of Bubby Knott, a beloved Southern Maryland community figure who passed away on Jan. 4, 2024. Organized by Knott’s family, Bubby’s Christmas Farewell runs nightly from 5 to 9 p.m. through Dec. 23, featuring festive foods and the farm’s signature holiday light show.
Flat Iron Farm remains a beacon of holiday cheer and community spirit, offering families a place to celebrate the season while remembering Knott’s enduring contributions.
