Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Zoe Artis of Bowie, MD on an arrest warrant for First Degree Arson that was obtained by County Police on August 31st, 2017.
The warrant states that on August 30, 2017, Fire Department Units responded to a house fire in the 900 block of Jackson Valley Court in Bowie, MD. Once on scene, fire personnel extinguished the fire on the exterior wooden deck of the home. Artis is alleged to have set the fire with gasoline. According to the warrant, a Certified Fire Investigator determined that the cause of the fire was arson.
On September 6, 2017, deputies located Artis in the 10 Block of Gentry Lane in Capitol Heights Md. where she was placed into custody. Artis was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without incident.
Artis is also charged with Malicious Dest. Property Value of 1000.00 and Malicious Burning Burglary
