WASHINGTON, D.C. – The United States Flag is to be flown at half-staff effective immediately and returned to full staff at sunset, Friday, October 22, 2021. This is to pay respect to General Colin Powell and his life of service to our Nation.
General Colin Powell passed away on October 18, 2021.
As a matter of protocol, the Maryland flag is lowered to half-staff. No flag may fly higher than the United States flag.
