
ODENTON, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police are investigating a commercial robbery that occurred Thursday evening at a Verizon store in Odenton, officials said.
Officers with the Western District responded around 6:45 p.m. on April 2, 2026, to the 1400 block of Annapolis Road after receiving a report of an armed robbery.
According to police, a man entered the store and initially engaged with employees before escalating the situation. Investigators say the suspect displayed a handgun, threatening both employees and customers inside the business.
The suspect then took merchandise from the store before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.
Responding officers and detectives canvassed the surrounding area in an attempt to locate the suspect, but were unsuccessful.
Police described the suspect as a Black male wearing a yellow construction-style shirt, dark-colored pants, a white medical mask, and a black hat.
The investigation remains ongoing.
