On Jan. 4, at 1:26 a.m., Stephen Chester Stewart, 33 of Meherrin, Va., was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for possession of a concealed deadly weapon. Stewart was operating a green Jeep Cherokee when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit on Three Notch Road, south of Wildewood Blvd. in California.
During the course of the traffic stop, Stewart was found to be in possession of chrome Guardian .380 handgun.
Stewart was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
