FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THOSE AREAS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING.
The heavy rain and flooding threat may linger into Friday for Southern Maryland. Damaging winds are expected to cause some trees and large branches to fall, potentially injuring people outdoors. Vehicles also may potentially be blocked by downed trees, and power outages are more likely.
Local law enforcement and emergency services recommend taking shelter if possible.
We will continue to provide weather updates this evening as they become available.
