An area was sectioned off by police and investigators around the Bay District Volunteer Fire station in Lexington Park for several hours Sunday evening.
An onlooker at the scene told The Bay Net that a stabbing report came over the radio and there is a possible hostage situation.
Police would not release any information.
Unconfirmed reports suggest a man was murdered by his stepson, and may have had his throat slit. The Bay Net cannot confirm these details at this point.
Lieutenant Daniel Alioto, commander of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, was understandably unavailable for comment.
