La Plata, MD — University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center has been recognized for the quality of care provided to stroke patients.
UM CRMC has been awarded the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.
UM CRMC earned the award by meeting specific quality achievement measures for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients, including the proper use of medications and other stroke treatments,and assuring proper education and follow-up for patients after they leave the hospital.
“We are pleased to recognize UM Charles Regional Medical Center for their commitment to stroke care,” said Lee H. Schwamm, M.D., national chairperson of the Quality Oversight Committee.
