Huntongtown, MD — Emergency medical personnel were called on Saturday, February 7th to an accident on Maryland Route 4 south in Huntingtown at the Greenhouse place intersection. The call at 1:30 p.m. reported that a driver in an auto accident needed to be checked out.
An ambulance from Huntingtown VFD responded and after a short evaluation the driver reported he had lost consciousness. The ambulance crew requested a medic for a better evaluation as well as a possible helicopter fly out.
An engine from Huntingtown VFD was dispatched to control the landing site for the helicopter.
Shortly thereafter the Maryland State Police helicopter flew the patient to a trauma hospital.
