Indian Head Man Charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute, Traffic Offenses

Around noon on June 30, Charles County Sheriff’s officers initiated a traffic stop in the 4500 block of Strauss Avenue in Indian Head.

The driver of the car refused to stop and drove toward Indian Head Highway.

As officers followed, they observed the driver throw a plastic bag from the window. The driver, Derrell Lamont Garrison, 21, of Indian Head, was stopped at Prospect Road and Indian Head Highway where he was arrested.

Officers in the area recovered the bag which contained over 40 smaller bags of suspected crack cocaine.

Garrison was charged with possession with the intent to distribute and traffic offenses. Officer E. Weaver investigated.
