HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — Two Laurel residents were arrested following a traffic stop in Huntingtown that led to the discovery of suspected cocaine and heroin paraphernalia, according to police reports and charging documents.

Ryan Gerald Dailey, 38, and Rose Marie Migliaccio, 35, were taken into custody shortly after 2:30 a.m. Jan. 17 after a Calvert County sheriff’s deputy stopped their vehicle along Route 261 near the intersection of Cox Road and Plum Point Road.

According to a statement of probable cause, the deputy observed a white Cadillac sedan repeatedly cross the double yellow center line and fog line while traveling southbound on Route 261. After several seconds of erratic driving, the deputy initiated a traffic stop.

Dailey was identified as the driver, and Migliaccio was seated in the front passenger seat, police said. Dailey told the deputy he was coming from his grandmother’s home in Rose Haven and heading to a Wawa convenience store. When questioned about the driving behavior, Dailey reportedly said he swerved because another vehicle was following too closely.

A warrant check revealed Dailey was wanted through Maryland State Police Glen Burnie, and he was detained. Police said a search of Dailey’s person uncovered a red cut straw with white powder residue in his front pants pocket and $834 in U.S. currency.

A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered additional items, including a rolled-up dollar bill with white residue in the center console and multiple used hypodermic needles with suspected heroin residue. One needle was recovered from a jacket pocket, and another was found between the passenger seat and door, according to police.

Charging documents allege the straw and rolled dollar bill were used to ingest a Schedule II controlled substance by snorting, while the needles were allegedly used to inject a Schedule I substance. Police also reported suspected cocaine was recovered during the investigation.

Dailey was charged with four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance not including cannabis, all misdemeanors. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and later released on his own recognizance.

Migliaccio was also searched during the traffic stop, police said. According to her charging documents, a used hypodermic needle with suspected heroin residue was recovered from her bra. She was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and was transported to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office before being released on her own recognizance.

The suspected substances recovered during the investigation were sent to the Maryland State Laboratory for analysis. Cash and prescription medication recovered during the search were logged into evidence, and the used needles were placed in a sharps container for destruction, police said.

Both Dailey and Migliaccio are scheduled to stand trial at 1 p.m. March 4, 2026, in Calvert District Court.
