On Wednesday January 10 members of Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad, along with Rob Cato’s family, headed to BWI airport to celebrate the safe return of one rescue squad member who was deployed to the armed forces last year.

Rob Cato was deployed in February of last year for a three year tour, beginning in Maine. After only a short time in Maine he received orders to go to Iraq. Cato is now a US Naval Corpman, serving his country as an Aviation Medical Technician involved with Search and Rescue.
Cato’s last visit home was in June. According to LVRS Lieutenant Amy Smith, even though Cato’s time home will be short, his friends will be keeping him in their prayers and thoughts as he going back to Maine to finish his three year tour. In the meantime, his family and friends at the rescue squad are excited to have him back with them.
