Maryland State Fire Marshals are investigating an accidental fire to a vehicle that caused over $105,000.00 in damage.
Firefighters from the Hughesville VFD responded to report of a vehicle fire on Dec. 24 around 6:21 a.m. in a parking lot located at 8130 Leonardtown Road in Hughesville after a passerby called 911.
Investigation revealed a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban Limo was parked in the business parking lot, along Maryland Route 5. A passer-by noticed the limo on fire and called 911. The fire department responded and extinguished the fire, which was determined to have started in the rear passenger entertainment control box.
No injuries were reported.
