PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – As the sanction holder, and owner of Knowledge Boxing Daryl Hinmon stated that he’s looking forward to hosting tomorrow’s live Amateur boxing match-up at Truth Bible Church in Prince Frederick.
“Somebody’s gotta win, somebody’s gonna lose. At the end of the day, it’s a competition.” Hinmon re-quoted a friend.
“It’s going to be a great day of bump.” Hinmon stated.
Hinmon will be wearing another hat this year.
Hinmon was asked by Bobby Magruder, Golden Gloves Director, to assist in a valuable way.
“I asked Daryl to be my Co-Tournament director this year,” Magruder said. “It was really because of his knowledge, no pun intended, and expertise of the rules.
“He is professional and very helpful, and he laughs at all my jokes. We’re happy to have him; he’s a good guy.”
The Nationals will take place in Tulsa, Oklahoma this year.
The local Regional Championships for Maryland, Delaware, and the District will start on April 5, 2025 at 7:00 pm at Rosecroft Raceway, located at 6336 Rosecroft Dr, Fort Washington, MD 20744.
Tomorrow, National Championship boxer, Demarcus Chop-Chop Corley will be ringside to greet visitors.
One exciting bout will be Kaizen MMA’s Ahmed Zahi vs. Old School Boxing competitor, Raycol Brewster.
St. Mary’s College of Maryland has a boxer on the bout sheet. Jake Erdman will take on Nate Colon of St. Mary’s County.
Another thriller will be D’lante Briscoe (Knowledge) vs. Maurice Payne of Diamonds in the Ruff.
