Walter Louis Myers IV
Lothian, MD – A Calvert County man is facing felony charges in connection with an alleged armed robbery that occurred Saturday, June 18 in Southern Anne Arundel County. The suspect, identified as Walter Louis Myers IV, 31 of Chesapeake Beach, was arrested June 21 by the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Fugitive Apprehension Team. A police report stated that several tips from the community aided investigators in making the apprehension.
The robbery occurred sometime after 7 p.m. at Lothian Service Center on Southern Maryland Boulevard (Route 4). Police report a male “entered the business, produced a knife and demanded money. The victim was in fear for her safety so she complied with the demand. The suspect fled the business with an unknown amount of money.” The robber reportedly made his getaway in a blue sedan, police reported.
The female employee who was accosted during the incident was not injured.
Investigators developed Myers as a suspect and discovered he was already wanted on a violation of probation warrant.
According to court documents, Myers was charged with armed robbery, robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, theft less than $1,000, concealing a dangerous weapon a carrying a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
Myers is being held in lieu of $200,000 bond. He currently does not have a court date scheduled. According to the court system, Myers is being represented by attorney Darren Douglas.
