UPDATE – 9:00 a.m. – Both lanes have been reopened.
BRYANTOWN, Md. – As of 6:00 a.m., this morning both lanes of Leonardtown Rd (Rt 5), north and southbound at La Plata Rd (Rt 488) are shut down down due to an accident with a large fuel leak of approximately 50 gallons.
Vehicles are being re-routed onto Rt 488 and making a U-turn to continue according to the Charles County Citizen Notification System.Â
