On July 30, at 1:41 p.m. deputies responded to a residence in Lexington Park for the report of a domestic disturbance.
Investigation revealed the female victim and Devon E. Francis, age 23, of Lexington Park, were involved in a verbal dispute inside a motor vehicle. Francis then pulled the victim from the vehicle and into the residence and began striking the victim in the face with his fist. The victim suffered a laceration to her lip which did not require medical attention.
Francis was placed under arrest, charged with Second Degree Assault and incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
