On January 16, 2011 at 9:58 p.m., TFC M. B. Adams initiated a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 5 and Busy Corner Road in Mechanicsville on a black Lincoln LS for a traffic violation.
Upon making contact with the operator of the vehicle, Brett William Harman, 21 of Mechanicsville, TFC Adams detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of Harman’s vehicle was performed revealing CDS and CDS Paraphernalia in the driver’s side door compartment.
Harman was arrested for Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
