On July 20, 2019 at approximately 11:30 p.m. hours officers responded to 7753 B&A Blvd. in Glen Burnie for a citizen robbery.
The victim reported that the suspect approached him in front of the 7-Eleven asking him for money. The victim took out his wallet to give the suspect a dollar.
The suspect grabbed the wallet and a struggle ensued. The suspect took the wallet but dropped his cell phone on the ground during the incident.
The suspect left the scene but quickly returned to get his phone. Officers who were responding to the call located the suspect approximately a block away.
The suspect was positively identified as Eric Eugene Powell Jr. and was charged with robbery, second degree assault, and theft. Anyone with any additional information is asked to call the Northern District Detective Unit at 410-222-6135 or the TipLine 410-222-4700.
