U.S. District Court Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. sentenced David Antonio Massey, 25, of Washington, D.C. to 87 months in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release for bank robbery and conspiracy to commit bank robbery, U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein announced Monday. Judge Williams also ordered that Davis pay restitution in the amount of $52,736.

According to the statement of facts presented to the court, Massey entered the following banks in Maryland, handed each teller a note demanding $50 and $100 bills and fled with a total of $61,184 from each heist:

June 7, 2004, Sun Trust Bank, 9411 Annapolis Road, Lanham, fled without money;

June 25, 2004, Chevy Chase Bank, 1040 Largo Center Dr., Largo, $1,350;

July 2, 2004, SunTrust Bank, 7701 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, $5,460;

July 16, 2004, Chevy Chase Bank, 10800 Baltimore Ave., Beltsville, fled without money;

July 16, 2004, Chevy Chase Bank, 7350Annapolis Road, Lanham, $3,530;

July 26, 2004, Wachovia Bank, 5720 Silver Hill Road, District Heights, $5,550
