LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The Leonardtown Business Association invites the community to kick off March in championship style at March Madness First Friday, happening Friday, March 6, and extending throughout the entire weekend in Leonardtown.

Leonardtown businesses are joining the excitement with a variety of specials, promotions and fun happenings inspired by the energy of March Madness. Shoppers and visitors can explore town while enjoying exclusive discounts, themed treats and in-store experiences offered by participating businesses.

March Madness First Friday is the perfect opportunity to support small businesses and experience all that Leonardtown has to offer.

Many businesses will extend their specials beyond Friday evening, giving visitors all weekend to take advantage of deals and discover something new around every corner.

The Leonardtown Business Association encourages residents and visitors alike to spend the weekend shopping, dining and celebrating in historic Leonardtown.

  • 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Shepherd’s Old Field Market “Lucky Sales” weekend
  • 12 p.m. Ribbon Cutting at The Vintage Collective
  • 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Free First Friday Art Activity with Jami from Elsewise Art
  • 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Opening reception “Youth Art Month” at the St. Mary’s County Arts Council. Meet our local artist Tanya from Bubbles Bzzz, a pottery café located in Lexington Park
  • 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. North End Gallery’s March show “All Creatures Great and Small”
  • 5:30 p.m. Enjoy live music at Port of Leonardtown Winery with Matt Guilherme and Heidi’s Eats and Sages Treats food truck on site
