PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The below incidents, investigations, and arrests are, in part, demonstrative of the Prince Frederick Barrack’s effort to ensure that Calvert County is a safe place to live, work, and visit.
False Name to Police – On October 15, 2020, TFC Lewis stopped a vehicle on Route 4 at Parran Rd, Saint Leonard, MD, for a traffic violation. A search of the vehicle was conducted due to the odor of marijuana. During the traffic stop, the front seated passenger provided a name of Hakeem NMN Benson, DOB: 9/24/1996. It was later discovered that his real identity was Demetrius Ronell Benson, DOB: 8/24/1996 As a result, Benson was arrested for providing a false name and then transported to CCDC without incident. The driver, Laquisha Young, DOB: 7/10/1999 was issued a civil citation for the marijuana and released from the scene.
CDS Possession – Oxycodone – On October 21, 2020, TFC Kelly responded to 313 Serenity Court, Prince Frederick, Maryland, for a reported domestic dispute. During the investigation, it was learned that Steven Terrell Wheeler, DOB: 10/15/1994, had been previously issued a “No Trespass” Order for the location by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office. As a result, Wheeler was placed under arrest for the crime of Trespassing and transported to CCDC without incident.
Driving While Impaired / CDS Possession – Heroin – On October 22, 2020, Tpr. White stopped a vehicle at Cedarwood Ln and Route 4 in Dunkirk, Maryland, for traffic violations. The driver, Justin Dale Wood, DOB: 12/02/1989, failed to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests satisfactorily and was arrested for DWI. A search incident to a lawful arrest revealed multiple capsules of suspected heroin. Wood was transported to the MSP Prince Frederick Barrack for processing prior to being transported to CCDC without incident.
Fleeing Police / Fugitive Other Area / Warrant – On October 23, 2020, TFC Lewis and Tpr. Sheets were attempting to locate Khaleel Delano Thompson, DOB: 5/28/1988. After not finding him at his listed residence, the Troopers discovered Thompson in the parking lot of Weis in Lusby, Maryland. Upon contact with police, Thompson successfully fled the scene only to be apprehended a short time later by TFC Lewis. Thompson was arrested on the Failure to Appear Warrant, fleeing from uniformed police and multiple out of state warrants from the State of Pennsylvania. Thompson was transported to CCDC without incident.
2nd Degree Assault (Domestic) – On October 27, 2020, TFC Marsch was dispatched to 819 Calvert Towne Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland for a reported domestic assault. It was determined, through an investigation, that Kirby Michael Whitebull, DOB: 9/4/2001, had assaulted his girlfriend. As a result, Whitebull was arrested for 2nd degree assault and then transported to CCDC without incident.
