Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack Trooper A. Oyler responded to the Rite Aid in Charlotte Hall on Saturday, October 4th at 6:39 p.m. for a report of an assault.
Investigation revealed that James Anthony Lawrence, 36, of Mechanicsville, had assaulted a female victim in the parking lot.
Mr. Lawrence was arrested and charged with Assault – Second Degree.
He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
