Multiple Injured, One Airlifted Following Multi-Vehicle Crash In Waldorf

WALDORF, Md. — Emergency crews responded to a serious multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning that left three people injured and one patient airlifted to a trauma center.

The crash occurred just before 7:45 a.m. on April 10, 2025, at the intersection of Crain Highway and Holly Lane. First responders arrived within minutes and quickly extricated at least one trapped occupant.

Multiple patients were evaluated on scene for injuries ranging from knee and arm pain to more serious trauma. Maryland State Police requested a MEDEVAC helicopter to transport one patient with potentially critical injuries.

Maryland State Police Aviation Command, Trooper 2, landed at a landing zone established in the area of Hamilton Road and Raby Avenue and later airlifted the patient to MedStar Trauma Center.

Two additional patients were taken by ground to UM Charles Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Crews remained on the scene for over an hour to manage patient care and secure the area.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
