HUNTINGTOWN, Md. – A Calvert family was displaced after their home was destroyed by a fire in Huntingtown.
On May 15, 2021, at approximately 6:00 p.m., firefighters responded to the house fire at 221 Carriage Lane. A neighbor assisted the occupant in getting out of the residence.
Crews arrived to find the two story home showing flames. Firefighters had the fire under control in approximately 40 minutes. No injuries were reported.
The owner of house is being assisted by family. The estimated structure loss is $200,000.00 and contents of $100,000.00.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal continues to investigate the cause of the fire.
