Annapolis, MD —ย ย Annapolis Police vehicles are getting a radical redesign. The first of these new-look vehicles will hit the streets on Friday, August 9.

For the next few months, there will be three different looks for department vehicles:

  • Dark blue Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor sedans with gold striping, a graphic of the Annapolis Police Department seal, โ€œPOLICEโ€ and โ€œEMERGENCY 911โ€ on the sides.
  • Dark blue Ford Police Interceptor Sedan (Taurus) and Utility (Explorer) vehicles which have gold and white striping, a graphic of the Annapolis Police Department badge, โ€œPOLICE ANNAPOLISโ€ and โ€œEMERGENCY 911โ€ on the sides.
  • New black Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles. They have grey and white striping, a graphic of the Annapolis Police Department badge, โ€œPOLICE ANNAPOLISโ€ and โ€œDIAL 911โ€ on the sides.

The Crown Victoria vehicles are expected to be out of common use by December of this year.
