CALIFORNIA, Md. — Royal Farms is set to open a new convenience store and gas station in California, Maryland, as part of the company’s continued expansion across the state.
The new store, located at 23344 Three Notch Road, will officially open to the public on Dec. 22, according to a company press release. The site will operate 24/7, offering food, fuel, and other convenience items.
Ahead of the official opening, Royal Farms will host a ticketed soft opening event on Dec. 17 and 18, giving residents an early look at the store and its offerings, including a complimentary meal. Free tickets are available through Eventbrite at event link.
“Royal Farms is more than just a convenience store. We aim to be a neighborhood hub,” said Octavia Jackson, district leader at Royal Farms. “We look forward to meeting our new neighbors during our soft opening days and becoming a valuable, long-term member of the St. Mary’s County community.”
The California location will feature 12 fuel dispensers, including E-Free fuel, and an on-site car wash. Customers can also expect made-to-order food options, including the company’s signature World-Famous Chicken, sandwiches, and breakfast items.

Don’t want it don’t need it
Seriously, enough already. We have enough gas stations, grocery stores, and car dealerships. This isn’t some major metro area off an interstate highway. It was once a beautiful small town and I think we should be working to preserve that.
Jesus christ. There is already a new one a few miles down the road. How many do we need? Bring in something for kids or some other kind of entertainment like a bowling alley, go karts, batting cages, paint ball. SOMETHING!!
Dollar stores, Aldis, chain restaurants and Royal Farms seems like all they ever like to build around here
Royal Farms is not good enough for St. Mary’s. Please don’t put more here. Valuable real-estate wasted.
Saw it today. What a blight on the landscape. It is a huge and looks like nothing more than a rural trick stop. Why is St Mary’s allowing non stop growth along that stretch??
Taking forever! Open up already!
