WALDORF, Md. — Green Bay Packers starting left tackle and Waldorf native Rasheed Walker returned home to host his third annual Rasheed Walker Youth Football Camp at North Point High School on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. The free event welcomed local youth ages 6–14 for an evening of coaching and teamwork.
The event is organized by his nonprofit, Youth Is the Future Foundation, which has hosted the camp since 2023. Each year, participation has grown, drawing hundreds of youth and their families from across Charles County and Southern Maryland. In previous years, the camp has welcomed more than 450 kids, with programming focused on mentorship, teamwork, confidence-building and football fundamentals.
This year’s camp featured structured training stations, a 7-on-7 competition and position-specific instruction led by Walker, his coaching staff and North Point’s football coaches. Campers received a free lunch, T-shirt and autographed item.

In support of his alma mater’s football program, Walker also presented North Point with a $10,000 donation to enhance equipment and training resources.
“Watching these kids learn, grow and ball out with smiles on their faces is what it’s all about,” Walker shared in a post after the camp. “This camp is bigger than football — it’s about mentorship, teamwork, confidence and giving back to the next generation.”

From North Point to the NFL
Walker is a 2018 graduate of North Point High School in Waldorf, where he earned national recognition as a four-star recruit and was selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He went on to play college football at Penn State University from 2018 to 2021. After earning All-Big Ten honors and starting 32 games, he declared for the 2022 NFL Draft, opting to leave school early to pursue a professional career.
Now entering his fourth NFL season, Walker has appeared in 35 games and started 32 for the Green Bay Packers. Drafted in the seventh round (249th overall) in 2022, he is expected to play a critical role in anchoring the Packers’ offensive line this season.
His off-field leadership and commitment to giving back make him not just an NFL starter, but a standout role model for Waldorf and beyond.
