Calvert County Governmentโ€™s Employee Recognition Committee (ERC) decided it was time for one of the key behind-the-scenes workers came forward to be recognized. On Tuesday, March 25 Technology Services Project Coordinator Kathy Oโ€™Brien was honored by the Calvert County Commissioners as Employee of the Month for March.

โ€œI know this is not where she wants to be,โ€ said Technology Services Director Joe Klausner, who praised Oโ€™Brien for being a great problem-solver and โ€œa true public servant.โ€ย

โ€œShe is great at what she does,โ€ said ERC representative Burgess Wood, adding that throughout county government Oโ€™Brien is respected for being knowledgeable and helpful.

Election Registrar Kristen E. Scott thanked Oโ€™Brien for the help she provided to the Calvert County Office of Elections regarding the latest redistricting maps.

โ€œSheโ€™s never too busy to help,โ€ Commissionersโ€™ Clerk Maureen Frederick added.

Commissioner Gerald W. โ€œJerryโ€ Clark [R] indicated he wasnโ€™t always so tech-savvy but admitted he likes the iLegislate government-specific paperless application the Technology Services Department has provided for the board.
