Calvert County Government’s Employee Recognition Committee (ERC) decided it was time for one of the key behind-the-scenes workers came forward to be recognized. On Tuesday, March 25 Technology Services Project Coordinator Kathy O’Brien was honored by the Calvert County Commissioners as Employee of the Month for March.
“I know this is not where she wants to be,” said Technology Services Director Joe Klausner, who praised O’Brien for being a great problem-solver and “a true public servant.”
“She is great at what she does,” said ERC representative Burgess Wood, adding that throughout county government O’Brien is respected for being knowledgeable and helpful.
Election Registrar Kristen E. Scott thanked O’Brien for the help she provided to the Calvert County Office of Elections regarding the latest redistricting maps.
“She’s never too busy to help,” Commissioners’ Clerk Maureen Frederick added.
Commissioner Gerald W. “Jerry” Clark [R] indicated he wasn’t always so tech-savvy but admitted he likes the iLegislate government-specific paperless application the Technology Services Department has provided for the board.
