A Washington Post delivery person was the victim of an assault by another deliveryman while both were delivering papers in the area of Md. Rt. 261 and Camp Roosevelt Road in Chesapeake Beach.
The assault occurred on March 18 at about 4:40 in the morning. DFC James Wahlgren responded and learned from the victim that the two men got into a verbal disagreement about which of them was responsible for delivering in that area when the unknown suspect got out of his vehicle and smashed the driver side window of the victim’s vehicle with an unknown object.
The window shattered and struck the victim in the face. The North Beach Fire Department and Rescue Squad responded to offer medical aid to the victim who had suffered cuts to his face.
The damage to the vehicle is estimated at $200. A description of the suspect and suspect vehicle was given to DFC Wahlgren, who will continue the investigation.
