Patricia Ann Taylor, 68, of St. Mary’s City, MD passed away on February 13, 2025, at her home with her loving family at her side.
She was born on April 25, 1956, in Albany, NY to the late Francis “Frank” Norris Taylor and Patricia Grace Hughes Toteno.
Patricia was a sister, Mother and friend to many. Growing up in Albany, NY, Patricia modeled for portraits, art and fashion meeting some of the most famous people throughout her life. She loved dancing, teaching dance and competing throughout the 70s and 80s. As a music and arts enthusiast, Patricia studied and lived through music. Patricia loved humor and comedy; she was known as the prankster of the family often starting squirt-gun fights in the house.
Patricia’s favorite holiday was April Fool’s Day, and thus on April 1, 2007, hosting a Pirate themed wedding, Patricia married her beloved husband, Bernard Alfred Purdy at Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Mary’s City, MD. Originally meeting in the early 80s, they celebrated over 40 years together and 17 wonderful years of marriage.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband, Bernie, daughters, Teresa “Reese” Faith Taylor-Purdy of St. Mary’s City, MD and Cara “Kat” Taylor-Raley (Dustin) of Dameron, MD; beloved animals Indigo Ma’toya (cat) who was always at her side, sister, Kathleen Kilmartin (David), sister-in-law, Jane Taylor, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Sean Taylor; and her beloved cat T.C. and dogs Ruffus, Fraggle and Caramella.
Services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Mary’s City, MD on Saturday March 8th, 2025, at 2pm.
