SEVERN, Md. — A 44-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning on Route 100 East near Telegraph Road.

Anne Arundel County police and emergency personnel responded to the scene on December 22, 2024, at approximately 5:50 a.m., where they found the man lying in the roadway with severe injuries. He was transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment.

The vehicle involved in the collision, a 2020 Mini Cooper, was driven by a 29-year-old woman, police said. Authorities have not released the identities of either party involved in the incident.

The circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation by the AACPD Traffic Safety Section. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact investigators.
