Prince Frederick, MD — On August 14, ย Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Clark was contacted by William Brian Forrester at the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office at Church Street in Prince Frederick, for the report of theft.
Forrester advised he was contacted by his bank earlier in the day for suspicious purchases.While looking at his bank account, Forrester noticed a charge he did not authorize.The charge was from Domino’s located at Church Street in Prince Frederick.
The order was delivered to Solomons Island Road Huntington.The name on the order was for Timothy Thomas and was called in by phone number.ย
Deputy Williamson of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and Clark made contact with the Domino’s delivery driver who delivered the goods, and the store manager at the Domino’s location.
The store manager assisted in the investigation,ย calling the phone number and asking for Timothy Thomas. The store manager ย advised Thomas, “he was randomly selected for a free pizza based on an earlier purchase that day,” according to charging documents.ย
Thomas was advised the order was carryout only and needed to arrive at the Prince Frederickย location to receive the pizza. Thomas advised he would be traveling in a green car. An Motor Vehicle Administration photographย was provided to identifyย Thomas.ย
At 9:17 p.m., a green car pulled into the Domino’s parking near the front of the store. A male matching the photo of Thomas exited the car and entered the Domino’s store. Thomas was advised that he is a suspect in a credit card fraud and theft case, and was arrested.ย
While searching Thomas, Clark located a paper with a credit card number belongingย to Forrester and his copy of the receiptย from the Domino’s purchase.ย
Thomas was advised of his Miranda Rights, and agreed to talk to Clark without the presence of a lawyer. Thomas advised, “he works at McDonald’s located at Solomons Island Road, Prince Frederick. He advised another employee takes pictures of customer’s credit card information and then uses it to purchase goods,” according to charging documents.ย
Thomas also advised he used Forrester’s credit card information to make subscription purchases online form a pornographic website. The purchases were for $140.ย
Thomas was transported to the Calvert County Detentionย Center and charged with theft less than $1,000, theft scheme less than $1,000, and fraud identity theft.
TheBayNet.com reached out to the McDonald’sย located atย Solomons Island Road, Prince Frederick, and confirmed that Thomas is no longer an employee of that store location.ย
Thomas has a scheduled court appearance set for Sept 29, at the Calvert County Districtย Courthouse. Thomas faces a maximum jail sentence of four years and six months and/or a maximum fine $1,500.ย
