ย Ciji Tidwell and Meghan Root, St. Maryโ€™s College of Maryland, will speak at the next community meeting to discuss a community approach to preventing under-age drinking on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 6 p.m. ย The meeting will be held in the County Commissionersโ€™ meeting room in the Chesapeake Building in Leonardtown from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will be televised live on Metrocast Cable Channel 95. The speakers, from the Collegeโ€™s Division of Student Affairs, have backgrounds in wellness, counseling and cultural competency. They will work with participants to further develop a community plan to reduce underage drinking, binge drinking and alcohol-related crashes in St. Maryโ€™s County.

This is the third meeting of the Maryland Strategic Prevention Framework Work Group. Additional volunteers and groups are urged to become involved.
