UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — A Prince George’s County man is being held without bond after a grand jury indicted him on multiple child sex abuse charges spanning several months, court records show.
Jonathan Samuel Monge, 37, is charged in a criminal indictment with one count of sexual abuse of a minor. The indictment alleges the abuse occurred between Dec. 1, 2024, and Sept. 2, 2025, while he had temporary care and custody of the victim.
Monge also faces two counts of second-degree rape without consent, two counts of third-degree sex offense and one count of fourth-degree sex offense. The third-degree counts allege that Monge, who is older than 21, engaged in a sexual act with a child who was 14 or 15 at the time of some of the offenses.
The Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff arrested Monge after an arrest warrant, signed Nov. 18 by Judge Cheri Simpkins, was served on Nov. 20. The warrant directed that he be held without bond.
Court records list Nov. 18 as the filing date for both the indictment and the arrest warrant. A subsequent entry notes the warrant was served two days later.
Monge made his initial court appearance Friday, Nov. 21, before Judge Beverly J. Woodard on the criminal calendar and remains detained on a no-bond status.
A status conference is scheduled for Feb. 18, 2026, before Judge Michael P. Whalen. Jury trial dates are set for March 24 and 25, 2026, on the court’s criminal calendar.
Monge is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
