The winning entry:The legend in my life wold be my dad John M Quade.. My dad was a hard worker. Loved to play bingo, horseshoes, cards and eat crabs.. He inspired me the most in 2006. In April 2006 he fainted at work and couldn’t remember who he was.. After some tests we found out he had Brain Cancer.. This man could no longer work, cut his grass or drive.. He went through radiation and was on tons of drugs.. But he never gave up.. He fought as hard as he could to survive. I keep this in mind when I’m having a bad day, week,month or year…. No matter what life throws at you, you must FIGHT.. He lost his battle in Oct 2006 at the young age of 50… Life isn’t bad until you walk a mile in his shoes..Never give up. I love dad always and forever!!! Thanks!!
